Reptile Shelter

During the pandemic, many individuals hastily adopted reptiles, only to abandon them once normalcy resumed. As the known "lizard girl" in my neighborhood, I began receiving these abandoned animals from neighbors. Initially, my parents were agreeable to this arrangement, provided we did not incur excessive veterinary expenses. However, as the number of reptiles continued to grow, our guest bedroom quickly transformed into a dedicated reptile room, and I soon found myself overwhelmed by the volume of animals in my care.

In response, I founded Noa’s Ark Reptile Shelter, establishing a structured system for rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming these creatures. Many required care to restore their health before I could find suitable homes for them.

Through this work, I gained valuable insights into compassion, patience, and the difficult truth that not all lives could be saved. Nonetheless, I found a profound sense of purpose in each successful rehoming, knowing that my efforts, though seemingly small to some, made a meaningful difference.
