JANE GOODALL SCULPTURE: I wanted to aim for true hyperrealism, and so I built her from the inside out, forcing me to sculpt with anatomic accuracy. As opposed to sculpting only what ends up being visible, I started with her skull–teeth, zygomatic arches, maxilla–, then adding muscle–buccal, masseter, temporalis–, and finally adding layers of skin and wrinkles, the result is what I hope looks and feels like Jane Goodall, I even added a chimp for good measure
